One of the main character's has parents from Columbia and uses a few Spanish phrases. I look forward to reading book two. I hope it supports early science vocabulary and observation. Worth recommending.

I read this out loud to my kids during dinner so they would stop acting like lunatics and eat! It went quickly, about 30 minutes. I liked this for what it is: an easy to read, first chapter book for kids who enjoy science fiction adventure stories. It's not great literature, but it works.

The first installment in a good transitional chapter book series with a STEM focus and three Latinx main characters (yay!) There's a good mix of science and engineering concepts along with some fantasy elements and bumbling adults so, you know, the kids'll love it :)
