Thank you Jane Tara and Crown Publishing for the ARC of this delightful novel. All opinions written here about this book are mine and mine alone.
This was a fascinating book. I liked how realistic it was with the addition of invisibility. It really spoke to women's issues in today's society. The addition of some romance was delightful and helped the story progress in a way that draws the reader in and gives it a completeness. I also liked how it ended. It just felt right but was also unexpected.
I definitely recommend this thought-provoking book. It is different from any other book I've read and I really enjoyed how the author brought together the story.

The idea of this book is so clever and fresh. I found the execution pretty wanting though. The idea of older women being invisible to society is handled so heavy handedly, I thought it might be a clever and subtle symbol but you are hit over the head with it constantly.
I found the characters all pretty boring and similar. It felt like all of them are really into terrible puns and that’s about the character development. The “romance” was the least believable part - here’s a guy who is completely in love with you instantly, oh he’s also rich, handsome, famous and an amazing lover (please don’t get me started on the sex scene…). Zero tension, zero conflict, zero interest from me.
Overall it was definitely an ok book with a great idea. Maybe if it wasn’t a debut I could have loved it!

I liked this book, but it annoyed me at times. I would say this is pretty much a self help book with a twist of invisibility. It was so blatantly obvious what it was trying to do that it annoyed me. It was very literal with no nuance. It did give great recommendations though, but I wanted more of an actual story.

At first I was going to DNF in the first 5 mins, but reading reviews made me give it a go. I'm so glad I did.
I'm still not exactly sure what I think, but I will be thinking of this book for a long while.
It has certainly made me reflect on life. Mine and those around me.
