Had to read this for my theory class. Not sure yet how I feel about it. I love the little details about each of the characters but I feel like to need to think this one over a little more.

I'm kind of a masochist when it comes to classic literature but this was a tough one to get through even though it's very short. There was so much inane conversation since most of this novella takes place at a dinner party. The real depth doesn't come until the very end of the story and even then it manages to fall flat.

I read this for a first year English university course!

This story was dragged out in my opinion but all of it was drawn together neatly in the end. The dinner party was definitely not the most exciting setting, but it did provide some key details, and links, to the revelation and epiphany at the end. Overall it was pretty average in my opinion, mostly because the plot was rather dull.
