It’s a time loop book, what can I say? It has the tropes they all do, but also it focuses on different aspects. Despite this being a book about Clark and Beau, it is mostly Clark, and actually has very little Beau in it. It is very much a personal journey, focusing on Clark’s feelings of loneliness, how others in his life also feel lonely, and how he can help him and his friends/family with their loneliness. Something about this book feels distinctly “teen”. Maybe it is the guide on how to not be lonely. Maybe it feels a bit too after-school-special? But also I appreciate that this book did something different with the time loop story. I think I could have done with a little more romance though, which may perhaps make those last declarations feel a bit more deserved. However, maybe realizing someone is your soul mate doesn’t have to be romantic. It wasn’t romantic for the psych doctors. Being soul mates is a knowing, the romance can come later. That is what tomorrow is for. 
I like this books interpretation of why they keep repeating; to fix a mistake, for two people to meet who are fated to meet who didn’t meet. I like how in this world this is actually a common enough occurrence. It adds new layers to this world. It also brings reason into this time loop. So often the story will just hand wave that portion away, with some just claiming it was a glitch or a weird coincidence. This made sense, and it was nice to have an explanation. 
I definitely found this book compelling, I kept reading it almost non-stop. It’s not my favourite book ever, or even in my top 50, but it definitely was a solid book. I would definitely recommend it to people who love a time loop book (which I also love, and why this book probably got bumped up a bit in my ratings).

Really enjoyed this book. It’s definitely very YA, more teen leaning, so at times there’s some eye roll moments.

Like how quick Clark is to villainize his mom or the way he falls in love with Beau almost instantly.

Sometimes his character is confusing. He is supposed to be this timid kid with no friends but his personality is rather outgoing. He seems comfortable in himself and it’s hard to understand the lack of friendships. Regardless, the actual time loop conundrum was very fun to read. I love how all of the characters were linked. I almost wish we got to see what came of Dee and Emery or what happened with Thom. I loved Clark’s baking hobby and his relationship with Otto. I would’ve loved a job at a bakery at that age. The entire chase of trying to track down Beau, complete Ms. Hazel’s tasks, and reconcile with his parents all flowed nicely together.

I still rolled my eyes at the L word drop after these kids have only known each other for 16 hours but hey, that’s what it feels like to be a teenager and I’ve definitely been there too.

this had a lot of potential fr. time loops are like a top 3 trope for me. but the love interest was barely in it and there was very little chemistry :( clark had way more chemistry with emery than with beau!! they could have explored the competing time loop escape theories more too.

Loved this book!! I'm a sucker for time travel/time loops, and it was written so good in this book!!!

I'm just gonna say this: Robbie's books are the absolute best

I loved this book a lot, even though I didn't have good expectations for it!
