I listened to this on audio book. This book was not for me but if you like corny books that are ya you would like it. I may have liked it better had I read it in highschool. Some people will love this book it just wasn’t for me.

Dolorosamente bello.

I’m speechless. My rating is not for the cliché elements present in this book, nor for the classic tumblr vibes. You know tumblr would eat this book up.

I’m rating this 2 stars because I’m concerned about the contents of this book. No bs on “it’s fiction”. Glorifying teen pregnancies, underage drinking and cheating is crazy to propel a teenage love story.

14 year old me would have gobbled this up and left no crumbs, but as I’m not 14 I can look at it on a grander scale.

The writing was not bad. The author captures the teenage angst well. I just can’t get past the teen pregnancy and teen marriage. That’s crazyyyy that it’s just in this book and so casually. I’m so distraught I forgot how the author just glazed over the suicide attempt at the end.

WHATTTTT

Also this book is a the prime example of “miscommunication”. Aren’t you best friends? Friends to lovers is my favourite trope, but not when it’s delivered next to a dumpster fire.

I hate it here.

The ending was super sad but I found the writing to be a little too YA for me.

Oh my god I literally could cry this was amazing…

I loved this. I’ve never read such a perfect example of loving someone before understanding what that truly means. My heart is broken for Autumn and our sweet, sweet Finny. I was skeptical at first but I love reading books that make me reminisce about my own adolescence. There’s something so precious and special about the first person you love, it’s different than anything else you get to experience in this life. Five stars from me

I think I am too old to enjoy this book. If I was a teenager, I think I would've enjoyed it, but as an adult it was too much fluff for not much punch.
