Looking to Goodreads ratings is a pretty unreliable method of finding reliable recommendations. In this case we have a "writer" who can tell a good story but doesn't know grammar basics. If you are okay with misused words, mixed tenses and absolutely terrible sentence construction, then cheers. Enjoy. All kinds of people like to read stories. Obviously there is a sizeable population buying books or using KU for whom these issues are no problem. That said, credit to Ms. Eidem because yes, she is a storyteller and in spite of serious problems with the writing, it is a decent story. I simply have to adjust to the fact that so called 'professional ' writing can range from the level of an eighth grade essay to a Pulitzer winner.
interesting storyline and recordings with sound effects.
3.5 stars. If you can forgive a complete lack of editing, then you could enjoy this book. It's a good story, but good Lord, the sheer lack of proper punctuation could drive anyone a little batty. Frankly, these things don't really bother me that much as long as the story is decent. And though it's ridiculously sappy, it was still pretty fun and an insanely quick read.
Re-read, such a great story, but 1 star taken off for the very basic spelling errors still in the latest version on Amazon. :-(
This was really good until it turned into a political/courtroom drama at the end. I don’t oppose that idea, but I found myself bored and skimming the details, which was unfortunate.
This is a very rough novel. Needs some very good editing. That being said... the characters and setting were fun and fresh and the series does improve.
1. Don’t let the bad cover fool you! It’s way better lol
2. Read this book 2nd technically & book 2 is the 1st
3. Just yes give it a read

The story itself is a 4 star, but I have to say the editing was terrible. a small example: Wray, (Grims Brother) Human wife goes into labor, and Wray calls her Lisa .. for half of the page, then it switches back to Kim. I was confused lol There are many errors like this, I enjoyed the story, I thought the characters were engaging and the world building was excellent, so I over looked the inconsistencies, I believe the Author should have re read her own work if she couldn't find a proof reader/editor, after all the book wasn't free.
I listened to the audiobook and I really enjoyed the narration and sound affects.
The story, the characters and culture created make for a good tale. I would have given it 4 stars had it not been for the many misspellings & grammatical errors. A good editor would definitely make a a tremendous difference!
