I feel like at this point the series is just being dragged on. The ending was the best for this book. Ready to read the last book and move on from this series.

I had so many hopes for this book, but sadly they all fell flat. After reading After We Fell I was so excited to jump into this book. I skimmed about 50% of this book. It was only so much back and forth between these two that I can take. I give it to Anna, the drama was there. The drama was what kept me in the series till now. But this couple is one of for the books. Tessa got on my nerves so much in this book. I hated damn near every decision she made. Most of them were still the same childish Tessa. She did grow up a little but all the self-loathing and crying was nerve racking. Hardin frustrated me, pissed me off, and made me want to punch him in the face. After saying all that, my heart went out to him throughout most of the book. He loved Tessa and was doing anything to get her and keep her. But at the same time their relationship was so repetitive. This relationship was toxic and just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, IT DID! This book felt dragged out and I finally made it till the end. The ONLY reason I gave this book 2 stars is because the characters made it in the end. ( well as much as they could with this big train wreck of a romance)

Es una historia poco común, muy acercada a la realidad, que te hace sentir el personaje y sus emociones, es una historia que no me arrepiento de haber leido.

I want to hate this series, but I honestly can’t say that I can. Something about it made me just crave to keep reading, I needed to know what their outcome was.

But just because of how much it consumed me, I still need to be brutally honest. Hardin and Tessa are a train wreck. The relationship was toxic from beginning to end. I’ll give credit where it’s due and I love that they managed to figure out themselves and wind up being better for each other but the road there was so long.

I don’t understand the need to put in some of the sideline characters, I feel like the author did it just so we got to see the jealous side of Hardin. Fucking Trevor example?! I love the banter inside joke of that line, but I didn’t know why we needed him to be a part of the story?!
Hardin is a ticking time bomb, until he’s not. I’m so happy for his character to get his happy ending. But, my god was he a walking red flag for 3.5 books. I have the biggest soft spot for him, he’s an asshole. I think I know a few ‘hardins’ so I can’t help but feel for him.
Tessa, my dear. I am forever grateful that you managed to pull the stick out of your ass and the wool from your eyes, but you really weren’t any better than Mr Scott. We all know you gave him too many chances, but I am thrilled you got your novel ending.

I’m soft after reading the ending
medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Character

This was actually the best book in the series. It had a slightly different touch to it. But unfortunately the ending felt kind of rushed.
