I've given all the other books high ratings, but it wasn't until now after finishing this book that I realize THIS book deserves the highest rating out of them all. This book put everything together. I was getting a little sick of Hardin and Tessa's back and forth but it was so addicting and this book just put it all together and more. This book made me feel for Tessa and Hardin. This book has me rooting for Hardin even after he screwed up numerous times. This book was EVERYTHING.

Love this series!

Ok, this one did it for me. Not sure if this is normal or if I should even share this, but this story literally made me weep, like 1 in the morning, sobbing in the bathroom with my hand on my chest weep. I loved these series, I loved the darkness of it, even though it overwhelmed me at times because of the toxicity at the beginning of their relationship but I loved how much they grew and became better people while being separated. These series is now honestly one of my favorites, which I'll eventually re-read, maybe not soon because of how sad it made me feel pretty much since i started reading but I know I will, I just can't let Tessa and Hardin go, I need to read their story again, i just have to.

This was the final book in a really addictive series and it definitely lived up to the hype of a last book. Although the story did get repetitive at times and completely frustrated me when I genuinely thought they weren’t going to be together! I thought I’d read the whole series for them to just end at the last book! But the characters, the steam and the excitement was just amazing! Hardin and Tessa’s relationship really changed and Hardin finally grew up! That was emotional to read! The last 50 pages was just so lovely to read and I absolutely loved the time jumps so much!

I love this series conclusion and love how the characters came together in the end. It was worth reading four long books for this ending.

This book didn’t just infuriate me—it exasperated me to the point where I nearly threw in the towel. Sure, the previous books in this series took me on emotional rollercoasters that left me tearing my hair out, but in a weirdly satisfying way. This one? This one almost did me in, not because of what it had, but because of what it lacked.

Let’s rewind to the end of the last book. I was hooked—hooked, I tell you. I couldn’t wait to dive into the juicy aftermath of that bombshell about Hardin’s family dynamics. But then, this book happened. Or, should I say, nothing happened. Seriously, Anna Todd, what actually happened to those family dynamics you dangled like a carrot at the end of the last book? I guess I’ll never know.

This series is already infamous for its painfully dragged-out narrative, filled to the brim with Hardin and Tessa’s internal monologues that, while annoying, I’d gotten used to. But this installment? It was like a time warp gone wrong—two years later, another two years later, ten years later! I was left flipping pages in a confused daze, wondering what on earth happened to all the missing story development.

The vibe this book gave off was that Anna Todd, like the rest of us, was just done with Hardin and Tessa’s bullshit. Honestly, Anna, your lack of interest practically oozes from the pages.

And can we talk about Landon for a second? Who did he marry? I mean, you gave us a whole chapter about Landon’s bride, and by the end of it, I was more exhausted than a detective at the end of a cold case. I shouldn’t have to expend what little energy I have left for this series trying to figure out who the hell Landon’s bride is. Did Anna forget her name?

But the absolute worst part? Zed. Poor Zed—the one potential love interest for Tessa who wasn’t a walking disaster. He’s always there when she needs someone, yet somehow, he’s suddenly painted as the villain with some shady ulterior motive. Meanwhile, Hardin, the self obsessed violent narcissist becomes celebrated as the poster boy miraculous personal growth. Are you fucking kidding me?

This book felt like the literary equivalent of someone leaving a party without saying goodbye—unfinished, unsatisfying, and a little bit insulting.
