Throughout book 2 and 3 I kept asking myself, "Why am I still reading this?" I now have my answer. I absolutely loved this book and the ending to this series. This book redeemed this series for me and brought it home. I absolutely loved how Tessa and Hardin's relationship blossomed and how through all their trials and tribulations they made it through to the other side.

Don't get me wrong, the editing is still an issue and little details that I wished were touched upon such as Hardin's relationship with Vance and a little background to Landon and his new bride (her name would have been welcomed). But this book made all the frustrations and eye-rolling worth it.

3.5 stars. This book had a much better outside plot than the previous one which was appreciated. I also appreciated that Tessa finally was able to take some accountability and realize she was half the problem. The last part of the book was frustrating though, Tessa was still stubborn for no reason and I was confused what was actually going on with them by how much the book skipped around in time.

I can’t believe I finally finished this series. It took me seven months and it was a long ride but overall despite a lot of people hating it, I loved it and I loved seeing Anna Todd’s style of writing grow over the four books. The epilogue was amazing and really closed off the story beautifully.

I finished this awhile ago but I'm just now emotionally prepared to write my big review of the series.
So you all should know I'm a fan of this series (I seriously love it so much.) Mainly of the first book if in being honest. I get so much hate for that because I "support" abusive relationships.
Excuse me? When have I ever claimed to support that. Yes, I enjoy this series. No, I do not want this kind of relationship.

It is true this book is about an abusive relationship!! That's the whole point of the series. If you would read the whole thing, you would realize Anna actually addresses the abusive factors in the final book.
The moral of the story is that no matter how messed up you are, everyone deserves love. Did you catch that? EVERYONE DESERVES LOVE.
What's wrong with that message? Nothing.
The reason these books get hate is because teenage girls who are not mature enough for the gravity of the topic of this series read them and romanticize it. Anna did not write them so 13 year olds would dream about falling in love with an alcoholic who yells at them. Anna wrote these books for people with problems to let them know it gets better, and there is someone out there who will love them.

So please, before you hate on this book or Anna, step back and look at the bigger picture.
