I like that this book focuses on how even a chosen family can have problems - differing opinions, strained trust. Chosen family comes back though and support even if you don’t get it right the first time. They pick you up and back you up in a fight even if they don’t necessarily know all the details.

The “bad guy” keeps changing and there is a complex political web happening throughout the whole book which kept me on my toes. I feel like a 3 story yacht would be more than a million dollars though..but I know nothing about boats so who knows!

“Desperate Deadly Widows” is an engaging blend of suspense and mystery that kept me on the edge of my seats. The plot twists create a captivating atmosphere that hooks you from the start. The humor sprinkled throughout provides a refreshing contrast to the scandals and tension, making for a well-rounded read. The characters are richly developed, and their interactions add depth to the story. Overall, it's a thrilling and entertaining read that left me wanting more.

Welcome back to Providence, Rhode Island where are 4 widows are back. 2 years after the crash and they are struggling to keep the law firm afloat. Their friendship is still going strong and will definitely come to the test....

They get ensnared in the murder of the town mayor and get tangled with their most prominent client. Krystle, Camille, Meredith and Jasmine will have to stick together to figure out why they are being framed and who the heck is the real murderer. There are secrets galore, and a few more twists and turns. Over the top and enjoyable is how I would describe this one.

There's snark, cat fights, murder and mayhem. Another great narration and a cute mystery.

Desperate Deadly Widows written by four authors is the second book in a series, though it can easily be read as a standalone. The authors give a little insight into the events leading up to this installment.

Camille, Meredith, Krystle, and Justine are four friends trying to rebuild their lives (no spoilers for book one!). When the Mayor of Providence dies at a club in Camille’s presence, the four women are drawn into a web of secrets and power plays. They must unravel the mystery while protecting themselves and those they care about.

The book starts off a bit slow, and I found the friendship between the women a little disjointed at first. However, as the story progressed, the dynamic smoothed out, and I began to appreciate the bond forming between them. What stood out most to me was their determination—not only to get their business off the ground but also to protect their dependents. I also enjoyed the dash of humor sprinkled throughout.

If you like cozy mysteries featuring enterprising, sassy, and resolute women, this one’s worth checking out!
