The Toll is the last book in the Arc of Scythe trilogy. The book didn't impress me at first (it was still as amazing as the previous books in the trilogy, but it didn't wow me anymore) but by the end of it I was excited. It was a nice ending to the series, and not the kind I would've expected.

I liked how this book focused on a range of characters, especially ones your originally thought would be insignificant but then came into their own (this also applies to book two). I liked almost everything about the story, except the ending. I did not like how it ended, it was weird and didn't feel compatible with the rest of the book(s).
