Me sigue encantado el mundo y la forma de escribir del Neal. Pero realmente no creo que sea una buena conclusión para esta saga.
Creo que Neal tomó la peor decisión que podría tomar para escribir el final. Eso de que huyan del planeta sin ningún sentido? En ningún momento se habla de esa posibilidad. En que momento decides que tus personajes, unos expertos asesinos, se vayan sin siquiera una pelea entre segadores, entre Citra, Rowan y Goddard o una redención para Faraday excepto que vuelve a ser "segador" al final?
El plot de Faraday y Munira que empezó en el segundo libro nunca me gustó, no le veía la relación, el objetivo, de aquello y creo que Neal tampoco. Porque desaprovecha a Faraday que debería de haber sido más útil y no estar ahí en medio eclipsado por otros personajes introducidos en este libro. Esta trama se me hizo pesadísima ya desde el anterior, tanto que me saltaba paginas de este plot y solo leía diálogos.
Creo que esta trama ha cagado el libro, porque el plot de Greyson como Trueno y lo que significa me encanta, y aunque el de Rowan y Citra no sea tan interesante, no se hace pesado. Pero creo que está muy mal desarrollado ya desde el principio. Faraday juntándose con C y R al final del libro es lo peor que podía hacer después de matar a Marie en el anterior.
No es un buen final pero ni de cerca y aunque la idea de la destrucción de los anillos si me gusta y era mi teoría del final, debería haber sido un viaje que se hubiera emprendido en este libro, juntándose algunos personajes importantes y no una trama sin sentido y sin hacia ninguna que se lleva desarrollando 1500 páginas para acabar... así.
DNF 16% - I just couldn’t get myself to finish this book. They somehow lost me in the second book. I loved the first one and the second one was okay. It never happened to me before I didn’t finish a book/series, but I have 0 motivation to finish this book

#audiokniha + papírová kniha: Naprosto skvělé završení celé série. Celý ten svět smrtek je výborně pripracovaný a popsaný, i když autor chvílemi sklouzává k rozvleklejším popisům. Ale tady to fakt nevadilo. Třešničkou na dortu je narrátor, který zde podal fantastický výkon. Tajně doufám, že se audioverze dočká i povídková sbírka Kosení, která teď vyšla.
Knihu jsem střídala s audioknihou, takže jsem ochutnala obě zpracování, a nedokážu říct, co mi sedlo více. Ale co říct mohu, je že vřele doporučuji! Skvělá série, která bude v mém srdci mít speciální místečko.

It was fun to read a trilogy, but could usually guess what was going to happen
Such a disappointing conclusion to an idea that started with so much promise.
This is Schusterman’s third strike (second unwind book and dry being the first two) and I gave him the benefit of the doubt for various reasons after each of those, but now I’m done. He has established himself as an author who is capable of presenting the outline of new and fascinating worlds that can ask great questions of our own, but he lacks the intellectual capacity (one could argue stamina, but I think that’s too generous, he does keep plodding, he just doesn’t see the problems in his own thoughts) to explore those worlds and instead relies on other people’s ideas and suggestions that he himself does not understand to appear enlightened and to gain their praise.
So come for the conclusion of the Scythe trilogy and get 250 pages of story wrapped in an extra 400 pages of pseudo-intellectual moralizing that exemplifies the cognitive dissonance of Schusterman’s books.
