When I first saw this book I didn't want to read it but then I saw the reviews maybe it won't be so bad.
Man was I wrong.
First half of the book was pretty good. I liked Tiernan,she was genuine, interesting and . But then it all started to go down.
First of all, how the f*#@ are all 3 guys okay with Tiernan sleeping with all of them? That's legit insane.
They all talk like she has to choose between 3 of them like there's no one on this planet but those three piece of shits.
The author tries to feature Noah as a good boy and I agree he is the best of all of them but he is far from a "good boy". One time he is getting hot for Tiernan and next he is sleeping with some girl's (who he slept with) sister and thinking about it to be over. He gets angry when Tiernan says she wants Jake ((Noah's father) cos he is her boyfriend/lover) and that she doesn't wanna sleep with him and his brother. She does go back to him forgetting all about Jake and has sex with them both. At this point I had raised my hands, I knew I'm gonna dislike this book. But still I kept thinking maybe something will happen to her and she will have some sense that these guys are not good for her. But of course she didn't, she just lost all the sense that she had.
She sleeps with Kaleb all the while he is thinking he hates her and then he suddenly likes her but just want to fuck her even though she's saying no.Uhhh.
We get the story about why Kaleb doesn't speak but it doesn't justify the actions he had done. She just takes whatever tiny scrapes he gives her.
Then she finds the writing. In which he writes all the good parts and says he wants to take care of her but then rapes her and breaks her chest piece furniture throwing a tantrum like a child. But as dumb Tiernan is of course she goes back to find him in the woods and tells him she loves him.
I am happy for Jake and Noah though they both didn't end up with Tiernan. In reality nobody should have. Kaleb and Tiernan both need psychological help.
P. S. I am not slut-shaming Tiernan for sleeping with men it's just wierd to see her sleep with the whole family and everybody being okay with it.
P. P. S the 2 stars are for relationship of Tiernan and Jake , the angst and sexual tension was the best and they both kind of understood each other.

This book basically needs all the trigger warnings.
I have a lot of opinions on this one. I knew it was controversial, but it really didn’t need to be for the plot. The same growth could’ve been achieved without the Jake relationship, especially given how quickly it was over and done with. I would’ve much rather the build up and focus on Noah and Kaleb. Noah being the easy one to love, and Kaleb being the complicated one. Instead, the book spent all this time on the build up between her and Jake and her and Noah, and then all of the sudden she knows she loves Kaleb? Completely out of now where and had none of the build up that made it make sense. And the weird baby pregnancy thing? Totally out of left field. Now, from the time he left after their big fight… loved every bit of that. Loved the ending. I just feel like falling for Kaleb was so rushed.

Já a Penelope k sobě stále hledáme cestu... Já mám totiž s jejími knihami jeden jediný problém, nedokáže mě přesvědčit. Ona psát umí, o tom žádná, jen je to pro mě prostě takové ploché a umělé. Není to pro mě uvěřitelný příběh a tím nemyslím, zda jsou věci v knize reálné či ne.
