i don’t know what’s worse - the fact that she’s 17/18 and did the dirty with her (step) uncle or the fact that she ALSO had nasty time with her two (step) cousins and sometimes at the same time. why does this book has 4 stars i need an explanation

This book haunts the narrative for me because I've read other books and it seems like scenes from this book appear before me in the form of war flashbacks. The subject matter was handled so badly, Tiernan's age was a huge subject for half the book. Her entire character is literally the concept of learning to move on from her parents and... I guess bounce and moan on some dick? Nobody ever brings up the fact they're related (blood or not) until clothes are off.
Jake somehow became my least favorite character in the end because he just found new ways to piss me off.
(Edit) another thing about this book is that the description of the sex acts... Imagine playing telephone with two college freshmen and you had to describe the acts in the book. There's a dry anal scene.

Idk about this one y’all….. basically 500 pages of debauchery and about 50 of mediocre plot lol
All I’m gonna say is this girl is living my dream and if you enjoy really nasty smut with a good story then you should definitely give this a read.

Not impressed with this one.
Oh how I wish I stopped reading this! Despite all the deeply uncomfortable and questionable parts, the ‘romance’ was equally boring, predictable and just textbook bad. Meh.

The fact that the main character has sex with her step-uncle and his two sons is, shockingly, not my biggest problem with this book.
All three love interests (what I would call RELATIVES) are abusive to the main character and it's never addressed or condemned. They're hot and cold with her all the time, they're possessive and controlling, they lock her in her room, they threaten to impregnate her against her will, and one literally sexually assaults her MULTIPLE times. It is SO uncomfortable to read a scene where the main character is repeatedly saying "No. Stop" and he just ... doesn't.
We're also meant to overlook the main character getting mad at one of the love interests because he is mute ... which was a trauma response from a truly awful experience at the age of 4. Because of course that's about her and means he doesn't love her because he won't talk to her????
I will say, this book was immersive and suspenseful at times, but it goes beyond taboo into a realm of insanity I could not go along with.
