This series is great for someone with severe insomnia. Entertaining and requires minimal brain power. It’s perfect. I have a feeling my reviews for all the books will be that they’re fun to read lol.

This is my least favorite out of the series so far but that’s not to say I didn’t like it. It just felt very slow.
These characters have a long history with each other and already have an established relationship. Sloane has been in love with Jasper since she first laid eyes on him at the ranch one summer when she visited as a teen but has always felt like it was an unrequited crush. It’s not until she’s almost marrying another man and Jasper saves her from her wedding that it seems like maybe there is a chance. Somewhere along the way Jasper’s feelings toward her have shifted from friends to wanting something more but he feels he’s missed his shot and that’s she’s outgrown her crush as well as other factors.
She’s hiding out from her disastrous wedding and both of them are dealing with Beau being MIA so they spend a lot of time together. Despite other characters being there, coming in and out, this book felt very isolated to me. It was pretty much Sloane and Jasper together for the entirety of the book minus a few scenes here and there. About half the book was them both wanting more but too afraid to cross that line cause they think they’ve missed their opportunity and then once they get together the other half is them constantly hooking up. Good for them but I would have liked to see more scenes involving other people, I think it would have helped break it up and make it feel not as slow/long.
That said, Harvey as always is a blessing.
