IT FEELS SO GOOD TO BE BACK IN CHESTNUT SPRINGS ðŸ¤
This book had all the things I’ve come to love about an Elsie Silver book - a feisty FMC, a teddy bear of an MMC, found family, banter. I loved it all!!
As the rankings currently stand, Jasper is my second favorite Eaton boy. He is sweet (when she discovered the tattoo he got for her I actually melted) and selfless but also sexy and strong.
Sometimes in a romance book it can feel like the MMC is in deeper than the FMC but in this relationship they were just both so invested. I loved how long and how fiercely they both loved each other. I appreciated that there wasn’t a real third act break up because it was obvious they would just get back together anyway.
I feel like we got to learn a lot about Jasper and his experiences but when I finished this book, I didn’t know as much about Sloane. I wish I felt a little more connected to her. Also, I feel like I was reminded one too many times that they had been into each other since childhood. Like you’re soulmates, we get it. But still, I loved this story so much!
The unsung heroes of this book were: Harvey being an absolute dawg and the hilarious text messages at the start of each chapter.
our girl Elsie Silver got a lottttt bolder with this one jesus christ. like, eyebrows were raised. but honestly.... hockey + cowboy = perfection EVERY TIME

also Harvey should actually be everyone's dad, idk what I will do if anything happens to that man in any of the remaining Chestnut Springs books I think I'd lose my goddamn mind

Like it was good I guess. Did they really have a connection or was it just a long game of they had to get together eventually. I cared more about Beau and Winter and the set up for both of their books
