This book was an easy fun read! Definitely lots of drama and a lot of it seems pretty artificial, but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t invested hehe. Melinda is kind of a messy icon and it’s fabulous. I also really loved how Evelyn’s character developed and frankly would read an entire book just about her experience in all this. However, this is 3.5 because the plot felt a bit overdone and since so many characters had POV chapters, I had kind of a tough time caring about some of them (like Russell and Felicity’s narratives).
I always love a book set in New York; it’s fun when I recognize places characters talk about :)
If you’re looking for a quick and light read that will keep you entertained, The Sweet Spot is a great option. Shoutout to Nell for the recommendation!

Rounding up from 4.5 stars. What a cast of characters! Once I had them all in my head I fell in love with each one and how they overlapped. I’m not usually gushy over lightweight books but this one won me over with just enough depth to keep me desperate for one more page.
Four stars for all of the times that I laughed out loud. The moment in the school were spot on hysterical.
I am a big judge-by-the-cover type of person. When a cover looks interesting, I sometimes go by that instead of going by the book's description. Grave mistake when reading this one. While it has an average of 4 starts, this one was not a favorite for me. Babies in books have become a sensitive subject now that I'm a mom, and this one was not it for me. Maybe later I might be able to reading it again, but for now... back of the shelf. This should not influence your decision of giving this book a chance. My mindset is not the same as yours and this might be the best book you read all year.
The Sweet Spot is a fun and cozy read. I follow a bunch of book reviewers on Instagram who rave about Amy Poeppel's book, but I hadn't had the opportunity to read one. Based on The Sweet Spot I can see why she has so many fans. I really enjoyed how she wove the characters together and even though at times the plot got a tad ridiculous (seriously, someone should have called CPS on those parents), it didn't take away from my enjoyment of the book.
Thank you, NetGalley for the ARC of the book.

4.5⭐️ I liked this book so much more than I thought I would! It was such a good comfort read and I loved the relationships between the characters. Everyone in the book knew each other from some part of their lives and it was satisfying for it to be so full circle. This book was unique and well written!
