The Sweet Spot is the right title for this book because that’s exactly what it is. It finds the sweet spot as a cross of a romance and a comedy and a drama. The book blurb focuses on a baby essentially being dropped off on a doorstep, but don’t be disappointed when it takes awhile to get to that point. The story really starts with Melinda seeking revenge on everyone she believes played a part in the end of her marriage. It does eventually get to the baby, but ultimately, it’s a story about your chosen family and the ability to start over.
My only complaint is that there are a lot of people in this story and a lot of things keep happening. I kept thinking I was at the end when another big event would happen. But I managed to keep everyone straight (I think), and honestly, I didn’t want the book to end so I was fine with the next shoe dropping over and over again. Personally, I want a book that deep dives into Evelyn’s point of view. She is fascinating.

A delightfully improbable series of events with a hodge podge crew of quirky and endearing characters. Exactly what I needed to read in tandem with The Women. Would recommend if you’re in search of something sweet and lighthearted ☺️

I inhaled this book and couldn’t put it down. What a delightful story with an eclectic group of mostly LOVABLE characters. This book pulled at all the emotions and was so funny. I absolutely loved it and I am so sad it is over!!
