not a usual read for me - picked it up because i enjoyed the show and always like to read the original if it was a book first but didn’t really get much extra from this
i cant help but be snobby over the rubbish clunky prose and terrible characterisation but in fairness at least in the show louise seemed less .. useless? whingy? thick?
the idea/plot twist is interesting and if you’re into the supernatural/fantasy you might enjoy but i defo wouldn’t rate it highly in the ‘psychological thriller’ genre it was marketed in

that was actually um really upsetting and not at all what i thought it was going to be. i’m so disturbed right now…

and like it wasn’t really a bad book? like addicting and super short but like what the hell
