This was a really solid mystery/thriller. A bit supernatural, and impossible to guess how the story would end.

📚 Book Review 📚

Holy Hell in a handcart!!!

Now, I knew the plot and premise of this book as I watched the Netflix series when it was out a good few years ago, but as a recent discoverer of Sarah Pinborough, I wanted to read the book.

So, Louise meets a handsome man in a bar one night and is instantly attracted.  They have a bit of a kiss and cuddle and nothing more happens until Louise rocks up to work a couple of days later, to find that the handsome snog is indeed her brand new boss David, and highly thought of psychiatrist who also happens to be married to the very beautiful Adele.  Not a great start to the working day 🫣

One morning Louise, quite literally, runs into Adele and despite her better judgement, Louise and Adele become friends.  Not only that but Louise genuinely likes Adele. However, the attraction between her and David is palpable and the fall in love.

As Louise attempts to have a relationship with both David and Adele without giving anything away, we get the feeling that something just isn’t right.  There is something very wrong with David and Adele’s marriage, but who is telling the truth?  Who can be trusted?

Despite knowing the story and the mind-blowing twist of an ending, I loved this book.  I listened to the audiobook and during the very last chapter, I was listening with my mouth agape!!  And I already knew the ending!! 😂 the audiobook was very well done and perfectly narrated.

I love, Love, LOVE this book and would recommend to everyone who enjoys thrillers, realistic characters and heart stopping twists!!

Fanbloodytastic!

Could've easily listened to this in one sitting. Hate it when life gets in the way of a good book. The narration was excellent, too.
