Serious twist at the end that gave the book 4 stars. Kept me guessing, entertained and shocked! It was good I enjoyed if.

The twist at the end is a total mind fuck. One of the most original mysteries I read in a while.

5/5 for engaging plot, I could not stop listening (I listed to the audible version and it was very well done) although the *reveal* was kind of meh.
This book is a paranormal psychological thriller. Depends on what you like, but I prefer psychological thrillers to be realistic. The concept of Astral projection is pretty far fetched.
Anyway, how did Louise pick up Astral projection so quickly? Why did the author hide Robs sexuality until the very end? I also feel like we didn’t know that much about David. Everything was super vague.
I guess it’s all for the sake of the book. It was actually a good story but didn’t love the ending, although thought-provoking.

4.25 found this to be a book I couldn’t put down as I tried to figure out what was going on, as well as thoroughly enjoyed the portrayal of the characters. Found the inner dialogue of both of the ladies kept me coming back. Loved the multiple POV and that ending, well didn’t see it coming.
The book was just ok. It kept my attention but I wasn’t spellbound. It didn’t grasp and hold me. I found Louise annoying. Sleeping with your so called friend’s husband isn’t cool. Ever. Between her smoking and putting her nose into David and Adele’s business, I found myself rooting against her. I felt a little sorry for Adele to start with but she soon revealed her conniving nature and I decided I disliked her as well. David was also unlikeable from page one. The story did hold my attention long enough to finish the book, but the ending was so far out in left field, it was completely unbelievable. Body possession through a dream state wasn’t where I saw this story ending. Rob ending up with David was great though. I realize this book is hugely popular and apparently a show has been made, but it really wasn’t my cup of tea.
