Finally the shocking twist(s!!!) I’ve really been craving in a suspense/thriller! The kind where everything is turned upside down, and at the same time everything makes more sense. The less you know going into this book the better, so I’m going to stop there.

Psychological thrillers, oh how I despise your kind yet adore you. I always reach for one believing that finally, FINALLY I might have found one that will shock and actually surprise me! This one.... was quite ... odd? I still can’t really describe this one well. The writing didn’t particularly impress me, and the characters were damn annoying. The twist ending wasn’t something I guessed immediately, but I didn’t find it to be game changing. Given the hype I heard about this book, my expectations were far too high.

Wow. This is honestly the first book I've read that has given me some of the same what-the-hell vibes as "Gone Girl" - and I do not say that lightly. I've heard from a few people that the ending of this one is bonkers, but holy cow I was not prepared! I'm not even going to summarize the plot here, because I think this book is best read without much knowledge going into it. Really well done, maybe a little boring on thrills at times, so I'd give it 4.5 stars instead of 5, but seriously one of my favorite psychological twists that I've read.
