This was my first book from this author. An American heiress to a railroad company ends up in an arranged marriage to a Duke in England who has financial issues that he has inherited. They have a natural pull to each other but she is stubborn to the plan bc her parents are awful and she had a plan for her life. He has to save his tenants and his family, yet wants to respect her. I sank into this. I would definitely read another from this author.

This book was so adorable.
I love the love interests together - I love how they were immediately interested in the other but fought it for their own reasons.
Miscommunication trope is in this book but only once - if you don’t like that trope though maybe don’t read the book.
Otherwise I loved it and thought it was such a cozy historical romance.

Fun historical romance!

What a fun book. Not in like the amusement park rides kind of fun, more like a jaunt across an English Countryside in a runaway coach kind of fun. I truly adore Historical Romance. A Duke, an American Heiress, and a love story to round it out. But of course, there is trouble on both sides of the pond, Americans still aren’t fond of women in business, and we certainly know that a Duke in an illegal boxing ring can’t be good for his future. Their mutual attraction leads to the inevitable though, they must work together to make their lives complete. And that is what love is about.
