Super cute! I wish some things were a little more fleshed out but it was a fun read

This was an average good read—so about 3.5-3.75 stars.

What I liked:

The writing style
Evan’s character

some of the micro tropes like the marriage contract and the naked bath scene. The familial dynamics, and the slow realization of her parent’s betrayal. Also, it got me excited about the other books

What worked less for me:

August, I didn’t hate her but couldn’t properly understand her perspective (mostly toward marriage). The ending, too much happen too quickly there, we didn’t need the extra layer of the kiss with the boxing ring woman (i forgot her name)</spoiler

I think this was her debut and the rest of the series looks promising, I will definitely read more from St. George
