4.5 stars - I did feel like the ending was rush! Plus it didn’t need the last minute conflict, when communication would have solve the couple issues. Overall did like August and Evan romance. Plus August a smart working woman that works in her family business.

Evan Sterling, Duke of Rothschild, has inherited empty coffers and countless lives dependent on him. Wealthy American heiress, August Crenshaw appears to be the solution to this problem. August however, has absolutely no desire to get married. She decides to show Rothschild that she's no typical London wallflower but every stunt she pulls to make him call off the wedding only makes him like her even more.
The plot of this book was so fun. I was having such a good time from the very beginning.
I adore August Crenshaw. I saw a lot of myself in her, especially her desire to remain free and in control of her life. Evan is everything to me. Oh to have a man as obsessed with me as he is with August. I love their relationship and the fact that he falls more and more for her every time she’s snarky with him. He loves her fire and her brain and he wants her to be happy more than anything else. Their banter was so good and they make me feel so much.
I really liked Violet as well and I cannot wait to read her book. Even Max stole my heart with the little page time he had. Fuck August’s parents though.
I was also a big fan of the writing. As I said, I was hooked from the very beginning of this novel. I sped through this one.
I loved this book so much.
