The Left of Love by Love Belvin

Love Belvin does it again! The deep attraction, that is friend-zoned, between Isaak and Kennedi is truly a life-altering contradiction! The Left of Love proves that the most opposite of opposites as well as the most extreme sides of the spectrum of life can collide and generate an explosion of sparks that are unable to extinguish with time. This budding romance is written in typical Love Belvin fashion which twists and turns like an amusement park ride. I felt remnants of Azmir and Rayna along with Stenton and Zoe in these characters. I loved every moment of the experience and I cannot wait for the second installment!

Whew

I cannot not wait for the follow up to this. I just gotta know what happens next. This story has a few cliff hangers had be going back reading pieces over making sure I didn't miss anything. Great scenarios!! But so wishing the main characters would communicate what they really want. I realize they really don't know. Dang can't wait until February 1,2017.

Character development is well thought out and you see Kennedi struggle with her emotions and feelings. Isaak is interesting and I’m looking forward to getting to know more about his decisions.

If Love is going to do anything she is going to set the stage for you. This first one is a sloooowwww burn that doesn't really get spicy until the end but you feel the attraction building throughout the book.

Currently, I'm on the fence about Isaak. He's very street and book smart but lacks the emotional intelligence needed to navigate a real romantic relationship.

Kenndi lacks the same thing. I think if anything she is a little delusional but that can come from her lack of experience too.

I'm interested in seeing how these two come together because neither one of them are giving into their feelings or communicating like they should be.

LB does new adult? This was a new adult/slow burn read. Kennedi has so much maturing to do, but her live for kids was adorable. She was such a suburban girl out of her element. Long awaited tale of young lord. Love getting to know his roots. Seems like I lot of info for this story was coming out of no where. But interesting addition to the LB universe.

One time for the relationship development. Two times for the intimacy. Three times for the pacing. Four times for this good ass book!

Hooked from the prologue. I had no idea what was going on the first 2 pages of this book but was very quickly and effectively invested and all in.

This is the first book I've read that features such an intense and intimate relationship. Giving me ALL the feels, without the characters being intimate with one another.

I found myself rooting for Isaak and Kennedi but not just a potential partners or a couple, as friends! This book was so good and in such contrast to the Sadik series. Love out here flexing! Showing that range and versatility.

Not going to spoil anything, but I will say Isaak effectively pissed me TF off! And got cursed out in my notes because of it. That's how much these characters affected me while reading. That I legit snapped on him like he was a real goddamned person.

Alright keeping this short so I can get to the Low of Love. Based on the name of the book... I got a feeling Kenny and Issy are going to make me sad...
