This boom was big and pretty unwieldy. I thought I wanted to dive into all of Poe's writings, only to find that once I set out, it was too much. I've had it checked out from the library for months, so I've finally decided to just read the most famous works and return it. A smaller collection is probably enough for all but the Poe diehards.

I feel like there is a reason that only certain Poe stories are well known because I find that the unknown ones are kind of terrible. It took me over 5 years to struggle my way through his complete works which is very unusual for me. I made it a goal to finish in 2021 and I eked it out on New Year's Eve just so I can be done with it.

That being said, his famous works are very good and this edition is a beautiful one. I just don't think it's work making your way through his complete works.
