my heart has been thrown out stomped on put back together and then thrown out again. i physically don’t know how im supposed to move on from this book. christian and daisy we’re absolutely EVERYTHING and they have altered my brain chemistry permanently. i love love love christian and he has gone to the spot of my top book boyfriend easily. i need like 7-10 business days to process the end of this book

3.5 ⭐️
Christian <33
Daisy <<< Magnolia
Julian’s pov ??? unnecessary

oh my gosh i loveee

i think i like this better than magnolia parks it’s less angst and waxing poetry but it makes daisy more relatable and easier to root for especially because she does really want to be normal whereas magnolia is so removed from reality and what’s going on around her

also there’s like more plot happening throughout the book like magnolia parks was mostly here’s our past and why we don’t work whereas in this book you’re living daisy’s love story with christian while also learning about her past

also having more perspectives is so fun

I am so confused about this book. Daisy’s life is interesting and it had a pretty good set up, but it just felt like a slog and left me thinking I’d missed something.

I feel like so much was mentioned with no backstory provided. Like I don’t remember it being said in Magnolia Parks that Christian also came from a crime family but it was stated “we come from the same background” like we all know.

Also their relationship had 0 development!! The fact the two of them were seeing each other in the background of MP1 does not a relationship story make. The book starts with them already sorta together and she’s already in love with him but why!? How am I supposed to root for a couple if I don’t know why they like each other?

The storyline of these books could be good but I just don’t really like the way they are executed. The footnotes on this one also annoyed me - they were so pointless the majority of the time.

Anyway, a pretty fun series but I just cannot read it like a romance or expect too much from it
