Muuuuuy entretenido.

I liked this one WAY more than Magnolia Parks. 🤩 there I said it, 😅
I absolutely loved the gang lord/mafia environment this one focused on and enjoyed that there were three different perspectives throughout the book. Having Daisy, Christian, and Julian’s POV really helped to keep everything together. I enjoyed the dynamics between all the characters and Christian & Daisys relationship and how that delivered.
Now the ending…. 🤔
Curious to see where this will go.

Once again, I devoured the book.
Compared to the first one, this one is more complex. From the relationship between Daisy and Julian, Daisy and Christian etc.
Rooting for Daisy and Christian so bad. She deserves everything.
Love it and recommend it.

Reread:
5 painful, beautiful, heart wrenching stars later. Re-reading and doing the tandem really reminded me how amazing this book is. There’s nothing like Daisy & Christian’s love.
“Daisy’s that feeling you get when you’re floating on your back in a pool and there’s so much fucking noise
around you until you put your ears under and it all goes quiet. That’s how she feels to me.”
“The universe, actually, is ablaze. The planets lose track of their orbits, the birds are potent now and all the songs written before this moment and all the ones that’ll come after this are written about this moment; about how we’re standing, my ears rests where his heart is, how one hand of his swallows a whole half of my waist. The beautiful nothingness of this, the most intimate moment of my life to date, a life that actually has been sorted with much intimacy and I think nothing will ever beat him resting his chin on top of my head.”
“I’ve never felt like this and it’s now, right now, this exact second I realize I’m in love with daisy haites. And then it’s immediately after that exact second, I realize I’ve lost her.
“I’ve had people come for my head all my life, but I’ve never really had someone come for my heart before.”

WHAT. THE. FUCK. just happened. the last 20 pages. Just sat in the library and cried my eyes out and oh my god it is the best feeling. Daisy and Christian are my Roman empire. I have never felt more for a character than Daisy. Something about characters being stuck in a life they never asked for.
"I don't want to be jumpy when a white can drives past me. I don't want to have to take different routes home every day. I don't want a bodyguard. I want to be able to order the same things at restaurants every time I got there. I don't want to sleep with a fucking 45 under my pillow--"
"I want to be free of it Christina, so I have to be done. Please let me be done."
"Okay." "You can be done, Baby"
literally nobody speak to me.

Thank goodness for Daisy, Christian and Julian POVs cause I can’t with the Magnolia/BJ nonsense
