For a book that features a guy sleeping with an ex's sister I liked this a lot. I read [b:Deadly Sins|11470326|Deadly Sins (The Callahan's, #2)|Lora Leigh|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1316639781s/11470326.jpg|16404618] by Lora Leigh which had an ex's foster sister and hated it. But Arend really made this work, it was a really sweet story and I really enjoyed it.

I am really enjoying this series. Matt Coleman was a swoon worthy hero and Hope was exactly what he needed. This was a quick read with an enjoyable storyline and some very steamy scenes. I love series where you stay connected to past main characters. I am looking forward to seeing more Colemans get their HEA.

Better than book one, but I kept shaking my head at Matt ('cause he's kind of an idiot in the first part) and Beth... I don't know.

I've lived in small towns, and the idea of small town strippers who own quilt shops frequented by grandmothers? Maybe there's less slut shaming in Canada, but I can't see that happening in the US. (Not that I object to the lack of slut shaming, but I've lived in too many small towns for me to find that anything less than weird. And given the treatment of Helen, I can't help but wonder if that was because Beth is the heroine.) (Also, yes, the stripping thing is a quasi-secret, but there's really no such thing in small towns.)

Hope's sister, Helen; I do not even know what was up with that storyline. She's an evil slutty/cheating ex-girlfriend and irresponsible sister who develops stalker tendencies. And maybe has a chemical addiction or mental illness? It's left unresolved, but it seemed really weird to me that her sexual history was a big deal when the Coleman twins' borderline twincest relationship seemed to be let go with a "boys will be boys" handwave. But nothing was really resolved with either Helen or the twins, so I'm left more baffled than annoyed.*

So, yeah. The romance was fine and I enjoyed the HEA, but there were a lot of things that puzzled me about the world building and secondary characters.

*Given how the Coleman boys' groping of the heroine in book one wasn't acknowledged as creepy, I am expecting to be annoyed once those storylines do become resolved. But we'll see.

Rocky Mountain Desire (Six Pack Ranch #3) by Vivian Arend – Matt gets his heart broken and Hope loses her sister/roommate/business partner when Helen leaves town. But the two of them can’t seem to help circling one another. Very sweet! Happy Reading!

I love Matt but what a disappointment of a storyline. First off, there is a big no no with getting involved with a sisters man or ex no matter what. And to both of them it just seemed to be such a minor issue. Also Helen’s part could have been more dramatic to make the book more exciting. It felt a bit flat overall.

Matt and Hope are my favourite couple so far :)

Short, but nice to read a contemporary romance where the MCs actually talk to each other and trust each other instead of jumping the gun and making assumptions/throwing out accusations to create the drama - so I threw in another star

The first book was so freaking awesome, that I was right to presume all other will be superb as the first one, but not quite as good and I was right.

I liked the lead characters, but they were just not as cute and just fucking amazing as Jaxi and Blake were, plus I was happy as a little child when they had scenes in this book, like the first one in the prologue that was like super-cute and awwwwwwwww;
"The proud expression on his big brother’s face had rarely left since May. “The girls are the cutest damn things. Swear they’re gonna be as pretty as their mama. I’m polishing my shotgun already.”

But back to this book, I don't know after awhile I just started to lose interest, I think I would rate this book 3 stars if it weren't for Jaxi&Blake awesomeness.

Oh, and I just wanted to slap Helen so hard her head would spin for days. Very much.
