This book was an interesting take on superheroes, and the role of love interests in their stories. It was a fun read that kept me hooked, and I'm eager to read the sequel.

I was fortunate to get a sneak peek of the Love Interest ahead of its release next year - do yourself a favour and bookmark this as “Want to Read” immediately.
The quirky, whimsical, and lightly dystopian world put me in mind of the Incredibles x House in the Cerulean Sea, but with a kick ass teen protagonist who immediately stole my heart. Jenna Ray’s voice is distinct and assured, confidently bringing you along for the ride - and what a ride it is!
The cast jumps off the page in all their loveable realness - making bad (but very believable) decisions, stepping up to make things right, and figuring out life and love along the way. All in a world where some of the population has superpowers and a prophesied apocalypse is pending. There are so many brilliant layers to unpack!
I was cheering, laughing, and even tearing up throughout - there’s action, tenderness, and humour galore in these pages. The romance was sweet, the beautifully realistic friendships even sweeter, and the backdrop so fun and imaginative - I was immersed from page one. I am already eagerly awaiting the sequel.
