I was lucky enough to receive a free copy of this book from the Bloomsbury Creator Circle in June and the book definitely did not disappoint!!

From page one, I was drawn to Jenna’s story and her character. She is such a strong and independent young woman!! A badass FMC!!!

I loved how this book questioned the goodness of heroes and their morals while also demolishing the traditional roles of hero story characters, such as the love interest.

Some of the banter in this book literally made me laugh out loud. It was SO SO good!!! However, some of her naivety annoyed me a little. She seemed to just take people’s words without questioning them when it was important. Other times, she was overthinking the source of information a little.

Overall, I really loved this read and would recommend it to others!!

Although I liked certain parts of this book, on the whole it felt like it was trying to do too much.

Overall enjoyable. The concept is fun and went some different ways than expected, but was still predictable.

Lost interest in plot and narrative.

This one I’m struggling to review. I didn’t love it but I also didn’t hate it. It just was.

Thank you Bloomsbury for the gifted arc.

This book started off so wholesome! For the first time in a while, I picked up a book because I thought the story was cute.

It started off so well, and I really thought it would be a five-star read. I was expecting a young adult book, but most of the time it felt more like a middle-grade book. There is nothing wrong with those kinds of books, but if I had known that before I started reading it, I would have started it with a different mindset.

This book is filled with action, plot twists, and character development. I loved the world-building and the characters in this book!
