i love it! it didn’t glorify any abuse the characters went through and shows that it’s hard to leave abusive relationships. 
it’s filled with the found-family-trope, friendships, romance, funny characters and action! i did cry a couple times but found a new favorite character: Iris Moulton. i love her <3

Hat mir sehr gut gefallen, man kann es sehr schnell lesen, weil wirklich jede Minute etwas passiert. Durch die Rückblicke wird die Geschichte auf gute Art und Weise aber auch immer wieder entschleunigt. Die Nebencharaktere lernt man leider nicht so gut kennen, oder deren Geschichte werden im Nebensatz erwähnt und man muss sich seinen Teil dazu denken. Ich finde es gut, dass der Hauptcharakter bisexuell ist, das aber nicht deren ganze Persönlichkeit ausmacht. Auch nice, dass Sachen wie Endometriose zu Sprache kommen. Das bei einer Geschichte über einen Banküberfall einzufädeln ist echt schwierig aber gut gemacht. Alles in allem hat mir das Buch sehr gut gefallen.

Es geht hauptsächlich um die schwierige Beziehung zwischen Mutter und Tochter. Während des Banküberfalls oder auch in ihrer Vergangenheit kommt es zu gewalttätigen Vorfällen. Sexueller Missbrauch wird nur einmal beim Namen genannt aber nie detailliert geschildert. Man weiß aber mehrmals, dass davon die Rede ist.

so well done i absolutely loved it. so much respect for this author for the way such dark and challenging issues were handled. cover design is super fitting. i loved the three main characters in a way that developed really beautiful and i found myself quite attached to them. the protective and intense nature of Lee was something i loved and needed. incredible read. not something i usually go for but so so good
