This is one of those perfect summer reads. It’s always fun when people remember what’s in the public domain, and decide to do a crossover, especially when it’s two female characters who were done dirty by their original books. The idea is what if Lucy and the original Rochester wife met up at some point in their immortal lives, went to Hollywood and San Fran in the 60s, and finally to some degree got back at the shitty men who did this to them? Went through this quickly, and just enjoyed the ride. Definitely pick this up when it comes out.

Felt like a pg13 monster roadtrip movie (in a good, cheesey way!!), with Lucy & Bee trying to overcome their pasts & deal with annoying men. I will continue to gleefully support monster women

Creative premise, but it gets really drawn out and repetitive by about the halfway point.

This book moves like a rocket, making me compulsively turn the pages. Vampire Lucy and her companion, Bertha "Bee" Rochester, are artfully characterized and very relatable. Rochester and Dracula are villainous perfection, dripping with malice. The novel is a rollicking good time with a deep core of emotional truth and themes of redemption. I loved it!

In this trippy retelling of women forgotten from horror stories, we follow immortals haunted by their past. It was an interesting premise. I do love reading about women getting revenge on their abusers. However, it was missing something for me in the end.

I will consume any and all Dracula mythos media, but this also adds Jane Eyre into the mix (which i have not read)
Great book about friendship and complicated relationships.
