Love
Something about Kacie West's book make me unable to put them down. I get transported into the story and feel the connection, the anticipation along with the story so keenly. This book was the same and I loved every page turn.

I finished this book in 4 hours, I just wanted to read a few pages and couldn't stop.
The MC, Lily, is so relatable. I found her a very heartfelt character and love that there was a lot more to her than just her love interest. The family dynamics were well developed and I liked every character. For such a short book it does a great job of getting you to like every character. The main characteristics of Lily were that she was self sacrificing and really stubborn. The plot actually reminded me a little of Pride and Prejudice, how Lizzy judges Darcy too early.
Cade was a sweetheart, I liked him form the first interaction. This is the OG enemies to lovers.
The only thing I didn't like is that the book isn't longer. I wanted to know what happens with the contest in the end. Overall loved it, I'm gonna re-read it when I'm feeling down, because it is such a happy book.

It's hard not to feel as if you've read this story before as you're reading P.S. I Like You. It plays out like so many contemporary YA books with romantic elements. There is nothing groundbreaking about this story. But it is super, duper cute. If you're in the mood for something predictable that has a sweet little Happily Ever After ending, this is a good book to grab. It's hard not to enjoy a Kasie West book. This one takes a little time to start to feel good about the two lead characters since they spend the majority of their time not just bickering, but actively treating each other with disdain and hatred. It's hard to root for a relationship with two people who seem like they are genuinely not nice people. But, of course, there is much more to their stories, and it begins to come out through the notes they write to each other in their chemistry classes. Those notes are the very best part of the story, in my opinion. They are cute and insightful and just plain adorable at times. They help to bring out the larger point, which is that people sometimes make unfair judgments and say unkind things in order to cover up insecurity and awkwardness, especially during high school years. Scraping away the layers to find that things aren't really as bad as they seem and to find that there can be a basic goodness in others that speaks to us is the beauty of this story. I didn't really care for Cade at the beginning of this story, but I was viewing him through Lili's judgmental eyes. Once he has the opportunity to explain himself, it is apparent that he is basically a nice guy ... in a cocky high school guy sort of way, if that makes any sense. I loved Lili's family. So much life and energy! I wish there was more of an opportunity to get to know Cade's family situation more. Overall, this isn't going to please those looking for unique young adult stories, but I liked it. Four stars.
To describe in one word..Lighthearted!!!Felt so gud after reading it.Have to to Kasie west other books :)
I read this between 3 am and 6 am, when I woke up after an anxious sleep and saw online the devastating results of the 2016 election. I couldn't go back to sleep. So I fired up my Kindle and finished this book in one go.
The story is predictable. I could immediately tell who her mystery penpal was. The book isn't bad, but it's not great. There were parts that made me excited for her, sad for her, enraged for her. She is an easily relatable character. There was tension between her and her best friend, and it was handled quite well. The anti-climax was a bit meh but, for a feel-good YA book, I'm not too mad.

I'm always up for a cliche-filled story and this one just had me going "Oh these cute kids" with a smile on my face as if I'm an 85 y/o watching children play on my front porch. I may actually have a thing with relationships beginning anonymously and in letter format. Pretty good for a one-time, lighthearted read.
Great banter, cute story. Kasie West is definitely one of my favorite authors.
This is only the second Kasie West book I've read, but I really believe that the bulk of the stars I give her books come from their sheer readability. I read this in one day, and even though I didn't love it, I wanted to read it more than do anything else and that certainly counts for something.
The characters were kind of bland. Kasie West certainly knows how to make a cute romance, but there wasn't enough plot outside of the romance to keep the novel substantial as a whole. My general problems with Kasie West's writing were still there- I thought the story got way too dramatic and there was little tension in the romance because it was so obvious. And even though I did laugh a few times, her characters always seem a little immature to me and way too fictional for me to really care about them.
Also, I just really hate reading song lyrics. If I had known prior to picking up this book how many paragraphs of italicized angsty lyrics there were going to be, I probably wouldn't have read it. Seriously, that's how much I dislike song lyrics written in books, I literally would've chosen not to read a book altogether just to avoid them. They're always so cringey.
My go-to "You've Got Mail"-esque book still is, and likely always will be, Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, but as for this one, it's not horrible. If you've got nothing else to do with your afternoon, reading this book isn't the worst way to spend your time. 2.5 stars.

Omg. This book is the definition of cute. I loved everything about it. I was super surprised at who was writing the letters. I literally sat there like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOW CAN THIS BE?! when I found out. That ending was perfect. I love love.
I love Kasie West.
