Okay but wait...
I really liked this?!

I went in not having high expectations and just thought it would be a cute, fluffy, fast read. But ended up enjoying it far more than I thought I ever would.

Definitely predictable but that didn’t falter my overall experience. I loved the letters and how they were intertwined in the story.

This was my first Kasie West book and I’m hoping I like her others just as much.

4.5/5

it manages to be cute but i have issues with it

1) lily (and the rest of the school) keeps on saying how weird she is but i dont see the weirdness at all??????
2) she's a bit annoying sometimes
3) so cade's a shallow jackass but turns out he's so deep and meaningful with family issues inside ha-ha next characterization please

I reread this bc there’s a whole scene that takes place at thanksgiving and not many books have that lol
Also upped to 5 stars bc this is just a comfort book at this point

9/24/18: yes i read this for the third time. when i'm in a bad mood, this book somehow helps with that and idk why but ima roll with it

This is my favorite Kasie West book yet. This is a solid 4.25/4.5 stars because I could really see myself in Lily. She felt grounded and realistic. I really, really enjoyed the storyline (even if it was predictable), but with contemporaries like Kasie West's, all I'm looking for is something to make me smile. And this book did. A lot.

When I first started reading it, I thought the writing felt a little juvenile, but once I got to know Lily, I found her to be really funny. I ADORED Cade; I think he's my favorite Kasie West love interest yet (although I haven't read the Pivot Point duology or Lucky in Love).

Socially awkward Lily only wants a few minutes of alone time to write songs in her chaotic house, and the chance to say an actual sentence to the cool boy she’s been crushing on. That is, until someone with great taste in music and a way with words starts swapping notes on her chemistry desk. Causing Lily to rethink whether she’s really got it all that bad, and who it is she’d most like to connect with.

I’m a sap for secret pen pals and hidden identities—so it wasn’t a surprise I loved this book. It was sooo cute!

I especially enjoyed the realistic crazy family and the building misunderstandings between Lily and other characters. I will say the identity of her pen pal was pretty predictable. I didn’t mind because it was still fun to see how exactly that played out, but since it wasn’t a mystery I felt like having the letter writer’s POV too could’ve added a layer of depth and tension, knowing what he was thinking in contrast to Lily. I also liked that Lily felt somewhat like an unreliable narrator at times, accusing others about things she tended to do herself—but she didn’t seem to learn from that like I assumed she would.

Overall the characters and the way things progressed were sweet though (especially the love interest!) and I’d recommend this story to other fans of cute and clean YA romance!

Acho que vou reler pq gosto da premissa

This book was cute and easy to read! I literally read it in less than a day and I enjoyed every second of it!

3.0

Kasie West writes quick addicting little reads. This isn't anything too special, but it was still a fun little coming of age romance. It was a quick read.

While P.S. I Like You isn't the most original book that I've ever read in terms of the overall plot of the book, I still thoroughly enjoyed it. I also found it rather predictable, especially when it came to Cade being the guy that was writing the notes to Lily. I figured that out that it was going to be Cade pretty much as soon as he was introduced in the book, which was before they even exchanged the first note. Both Lily and Cade were great characters, however, I have to admit that there were times when Lily did annoy me. Lily and Cade are both very well written characters for the most part. However, there were a few things about Lily that I felt could have been fleshed out just a little bit, in terms of her family and her school life outside of Chemistry class, which is the class where Lily and Cade exchanged notes. As for the relationship between Lily and Cade, I thought their relationship was really fun and cute for for the most part. I really loved the contrast between what their interactions were like in the notes that they exchanged throughout the book, compared to how they acted when they were talking to each other in person. All in all, P.S. I Like You definitely has some flaws, but it's still a great book, and I would definitely recommend reading it.

My full review

Awesome! So freaking adorable I can't even! Le sigh. I wish something like this could happen to me. My only complaint is that I wish the end had something about winning the songwriting contest. But whatevs. All in all, pretty damn awesome.

I knew it! I knew it! There’s no way a boy is set up that much without becoming the love interest.

Andddd I pretty forgot the char name bcs I listen to this as an audiobook which means my brain do not see their name written out. And surprisingly after listening to hours of this book, the male interest name is still not engrave in my brain. Even though I just finish the book. (In my defense I just finished writing a review for Kasie West other book, and those names are still stuck in my head)

Back to the topic at hand. So. Yes. I did. I read two Kasie West book back to back. Listening to them. Basically 14 hours of listening to Kasie West book on 2x speed.

Done the math? Yup. I spent 7 hours of my day listening to these amazing story. BUT I LOVE THEM SO I’M SORRY BUT THEY ARE MY FORM OF ESCAPE.

Wow I’m so hype now. See the effects of these romance novel.

Honestly I don’t know what to say. Except the banter and conversation between char in this book was so ADORABLE CUTE!

Yeah it make me wish for this kind of relationship.

My brain can’t seem to form word after listening to this book. So that’s the end of my chaotic review.

Read THE DISTANCE BETWEEN US (was it?- my brain is short circuiting) by Kasie West as well- totally recommend. AND YES IF YOU NEED A PUSH TO READ THIS BOOK. READ IT! it’s fun! it’s not some analytical renown text- it’s a fun romance novel.
