[Blogtour+Giveaway P.S I Like You - Kasie West]

What’s sweeter than anonymous penpal? Hehe. Also, although I barely saw any character developing, I still think it’s alright.

this was so adorable and I can't stop smiling about it

This is the first book I've ever read by Kasie West. I had read some great reviews and was looking forward to finally reading the book myself.
However, I didn't really enjoy it. If I had to describe the book in three words, it would most likely be: "Adorable yet predictable". The story had some cute aspects to it, but it was quite bland. The storyline was predictable in a way that it didn't take me three (or two for that matter) guesses who her mystery pen pal was.

The characters didn't really do it for me either. Lily was a teenage girl who considers herself and her family to be 'weirdos' (don't we all?).

So yes, I was somewhat disappointed. I didn't really hate it or love it, but my lack of emotions towards the book says enough for me.

i actually really liked this book. i say it like that because i picked up this book for really cheap at half priced books just bcuz kasie wrote it, but i just read a book of hers and it was really mid. this was so cute and somehow nostalgic. everything about it was just so quintessentially 2010s even though it was published in like 2016 or something. i loved how lily was a little hipster😭😭😭 like the whole hipster girl mainstream guy thing was so cute😭😭😭. and i loved the letter writing. it was so sweet. i will say i wish they had more positive interactions in person during the letter writing stage to kind of justify why cade would like lily. i also found sasha to swing between being a stereotypical mean girl, and actually having reasons for doing things…but overall her character didn’t make much sense to me. like i feel like what she did near the end of the book was lowk unnecessary. i also thought lily mentioned her family being crazy a lot but tbh it didn’t seem allat crazy to me idk. so far out of all of kasie wests books this is my second favorite. (after places we’ve never been obv)

This is one of those books that I wasn't sure if I was going to like, since I could see where the romance was going, but ended up being hooked and loving it.

So, yeah some of it is very obvious, but the book is so cute and I ended up liking the romance and honestly I just really enjoyed reading it, so 5 stars. Like I said, some of it is super obvious, such as who the mysterious letter writer is and the guitar issue, but there were a few things that surprised me, which was really nice. The main characters were... interesting. Maybe not the most deep ever, but they felt decently realistic. True, there are misunderstandings and tons of drama over boys, but this is a YA contemporary romance, it just goes with the territory.
As usual, I am disappointed in the friendship-- Lily's friend was only there for Lily and had no other purpose. It was a bit annoying.

I also like how the book isn't just about getting a boyfriend, but is about courage to do and get what you want. Lily wants to confront Cade, she wants to finish a song, perform it in front of people, and submit it for a contest. She also wants to go on a date with Lucas. She doesn't feel brave enough to do these things and this book is about how she becomes more confident in herself.

This is my second Kasie West book and I must say I'm pretty impressed, I'll definitely check out more by her :)

“You’re my favorite way to pass the time. But time stands still when you’re on my mind.”

This book was absolutely hilarious! Definitely one of my favourite Kasie West books. I had no idea it was a sort of enemies to lovers because most of her books aren’t, so I was pleasantly surprised.

The main couple is adorable, and I love YA romances where the protagonist talks to someone anonymously and only discovers their identity later. The big reveal definitely didn’t happen how I expected it to! That’s another thing I enjoyed, this book wasn’t as predictable as some of Kasie West’s other works.

Lily was a great main character, possibly my favourite one from Kasie West. She was refreshingly honest and snarky which made for an interesting read.

“Who are you talking to?”

“Myself.”

“You do that a lot.”

“I know. I’m the only one who understands me.”

I also loved her family dynamic! I feel like every Kasie West main character has a different home situation than her past characters and in this case, Lily has a big and very tight-knit family. I liked the contrast to the love interest's situation and how Lily was still able to offer advice for something she hadn't experienced.

Her best friend Isabel was also an amazing side character. I’m not a huge fan of when best friends start fighting over nothing in books, and it happens way too often! I loved the way her character furthered the plot without making her a bad friend or person.

I won’t say much about who the romantic interest is because it definitely spoils the fun if you go into this knowing who’s writing the letters. I will say that I did suspect before the big reveal, but not right at the beginning which is great!

Overall: Another great book from Kasie West! All of her books manage to get me out of reading slumps which I love :)

Predictable.

4.5 stelle!

Oopss sorry guys
