It was a little unoriginal, very predictable, and had a few plot holes, but I enjoyed it. Would not recommend to people who cannot like books simply because they enjoyed them. If you just read it and let yourself be entertained without worrying about stuff like how predictable it is, then you can enjoy it like I did!
2.5 stars
I read this in like 3 hours.
I didn't like the first 200 pages. I wanted to put the book down. I hated Lily at first, she wasn't funny, just annoying.
Overall the book was SO predictable, I didn't like that about it. However, when Lily and her pen pal started connecting I liked them a lot. But this book didn't do much for me.

*Sigh* Boy, Am I so happy that this book exists because I'm out of my reading slump! I predicted last year that this book wouldn't disappoint me and I was right. Kasie West is such a good contemporary author, I just adore her writing. They're always the cutest and P.S. I Like You was no different.
This book had me at pen pals. I loved the idea of pen pals happening in a highschool at modern day time because it's rare, everyone has phones. I thought it was really well-executed in the story. The main characters, Lily Abbott and Cade Jennings were relatable, light and amusing. I loved their sense of humor and "immature" acts, it was very entertaining and relaxing.
My overall thoughts on P.S. I Like You is that it was well-done just like Kasie West's previous books. Very addictive, and I'm hoping to read more from her! I recommend giving it a try if anybody's looking for cutesy lovey-dovey contemp books!

Omg it was so cute!!! I just loved how it ended up being Lily and Cade in love all along! The whole passionate arguing thing

3.5 stars, it started out slow and was a bit hard to get into. As the story it progressed, it got much better
Although, the person she was writing letters to was so obvious, there was so much more to it. One of my issues were she was failing chemistry --and no one said anything-- like a few times her teacher said until you pick up ur grade you can't do this, but I feel like he should've had a bigger role considering she was literally failing that class
there was confusing parts and conflicts that weren't resolved well
the story revolved around those letters, and while I really enjoyed reading them, I feel like there also should've been a little more of an emphasis, and she's really not writing lyrics all that much when they use the letters
there was almost no regard to consequences like getting detention was no big deal, and just doing some illegal activities was somehow ok?
I liked how there wasn't anything recreational in it, it was so pure and like adorable, although this wasn't very accurate to high school life. This girl did no homework, the whole book. She didn't study and didn't appear to have any tests the whole entire book
I liked the emphasis on her family and i thought that it was really nice, especially the talks she had with her older sister
i liked isabel, their relationship was so adorable and the whole thing where they wanted to have a "cute" relationship was really funny
overall, it was really cute and i loved the whole exchange between the letters and the relationships -- the characters were developed very nicely, but (and this is an issue i have with many YA books) it wasn't accurate to high school life. Maybe, i just work too hard and have like an unusual amount of homework and tests, but like even if i was in all regular classes, i feel like i would still be a little concerned for my grades, especially because this is her junior year, ya know the really hard year that colleges really focus on. That's another thing, there should've been a bigger emphasis on college like she should've been focused on ACTs and SATs and trying to get a scholarship to college because her family is so small
ok it was good im done
