Vance + Shane
I have always loved heroines that are persistent or fall in love first, and I love the subtle way NR writes alpha men. I enjoyed this overall it was definitely worth it.

i love romance novels, but this one seemed hurried and forced. the love was contrived, and the wrap up quick with too many unanswered questions. i liked the main female character, but the male got away with a lot he shouldn't around such a "strong" woman. fluff piece for a quick read if you are cooped up and don't want to think.

I didn't enjoy this very much. Too many cliches and too much cringe worthy dialogue.
mmc was a huge red flag but his chemistry was fmc was unmatched. the book was a definition of “grumpy & sunshine”. i didn’t like the way mmc’s secret was revealed, he waited for too long.
It was an okay read. It is interesting to go back to Nora's older work and compare it to her more recent stuff. I usually like her older books, but in this one the characters were not very well developed and sometimes seemed overly silly. ***SPOILER*** I mean, Shane told Vance she would love him no matter what, and then the first time he shares his secret with her, boom, you lied to me and I am leaving. I mean, common. It was really not a big deal. She seemed very fake to me after that.***END OF SPOILER***
So, in general, it is a light, okay read good to pass the time, but nothing memorable.

The main characters were pretty charming and easy to relate to. And I love the idea of a little antique shop super cute.
There was very little Christmas content in this Christmas themed book.
The writing was done well and the book flowed easily and transitioning was fantastic.
Spoiler alert! This is the only thing that confused me. The whole entire book she kept saying how this man clearly had his secrets and she would accept them when he was ready to tell her. Then she gets upset that he didn't tell her.
I think the writing was great and gotta give props to the author for great writing skills.

Vance needed an escape from his stressful, busy life in DC so buying and fixing up a house in the mountains is the perfect way to lose himself. He doesn't want to interact with anyone, he's happiest being alone and grumpy, but his personable and happy neighbor Shane just won't let him. Shane is fixing up her Grandmother's home, turning it in to a museum and antique shop, but can't seem to keep her mind off her grumpy next door neighbor. There was a spark between them at first sight and Shane is ready to fall in love, she just needs to convince Vance of it. A really sweet story of finding personal forgiveness and a second chance. Some light conflict but really a sweet, sexy story. Fun read!
3 stars only for First Impressions. I did not like Blithe Images.
