Reread; obviously a 5/5 but fun to read now that I know how the series goes!

My name is Celaena Sardothien and I will not be afraid.

This is more like a 4.5. Really interesting to read but just not the same wow factor as the rest of the series so far

The first mistake I made was to have high expectations of this book. I thought it would be more explaining on the training that she received and see her grow up from little kid to adult. Rather it was more about her arrogance and naivety, because of Arobynn.

I read this after reading the whole series and this book really shows how far she actually came in her character development if you compare this book and the last one.

Ofcourse the love was heartbreaking and the insight on endovier was really interesting. Also some characters that are in the series make more sense now after I read this one so the order does matter and you should not read this as last.

Furthermore, it could have had more potential to me, more background, a dual pov would have been fun or more information on Arobynn.

However, it´s a nice easy read and it does have value in the series.
