Counting the first three volumes as one book because they're comic books~
so good! Kamala Khan (and new superhero Amulet) are fantastic, though I'm sad about my ship not surviving this run, lol.

If you were worried about G. Willow Wilson leaving Ms. Marvel, throw those worries out the window. Ahmed steps in and leaves this book as weird, touching, and fun as ever.
Okay, I enjoyed this more than I expected. The new writer definitely has it down, and I think I’ll enjoy this continuation of the character.
This volume was…fine. Any other character and it probably would have earned three stars. The plot was fun but way too rushed. The political intrigue had no time to percolate, new characters had no room to develop or grow, and the plot came to a swift conclusion, all of which made it all have less weight. This would have been an excellent story if given the time to develop over two or three volumes. As is, it’s just an excuse to get Kamala into space, get a new costume, and shake up the continuity. By shake up I of course mean retcon the most interesting points of interpersonal tension away and replace it with a cheaper but more digestible crisis that we will chicken out of doing anything daring or realistic with. Recommended if you like space opera stories or are ride or die for Ms Marvel like me.
Absolutely wonderful. Gorgeous art and a great story beautifully blending Kamala's superhero adventures, her social life, her school life, and her family life. I love this iteration of Ms. Marvel and this particular graphic novel does very well by her.
I was nervous about Saladin Ahmed’s run on Ms. Marvel-not because I don’t like his writing, I do!- but because Wilson’s take on Kamala is close to my heart. I needn’t have worried. This was so lovely and well done and all about facing ourselves and learning to trust the people around us, in true Ms. Marvel form ❤️
Ms Marvel, while struggling with both her parents knowing her secret identity now, has to deal with some alien invaders. It turns out they are a test to make sure she is the Destined One to go save an alien planet from prophesied destruction. She is taken to that other planet where she finds that all is not peaceful in the kingdom. Will she save the planet? Will she find a way to get her parents to understand her superhero lifestyle? Will she ever have that important talk with Bruno?
This is good and entertaining. It is not as light-heartedly quippy as it was when Wilson was writing it, but it is still good.

Loved this! Great story, even though Marvel space stories aren’t generally good, the one here works. Why? Representation!
The Khan family are so adorable and believable. Her folks going to space with her? Perfect! Comedy gold. Love the new outfit as well. Bit sad that ending but I can’t wait for more.

Kamala Khan is in good hands with this new creative team. Her voice is as strong as ever, and this book knows how to hit all the right emotional beats. Very excited for this new era!
