It’s hard to say this because of the context of the book but it will forever be one of my favorite books. The thing about history that fails us is the lack of perspective from the different times. To read a story of two sisters who experience the same events so differently is important. I cried my whole way through and for me when a book gets that much emotion out of me it’s a 5 star.

How this author makes me cry so hard my face hurts but I still keep reading her, I can’t quite understand.
