I enjoyed the writing, the story, the overall confusion of it all. However, and this may be because I read it online instead of a physical copy, I wasn't enchanted by it. I didn't want to keep reading and the confusion didn't feel mysterious, instead, it was just kind of annoying. The format of my online copy was a bit wonky, so that might've muddled my perception of the book.

I loved how unique and fantastical this book was. It truly transported me to a different world. The grammar and writing style is also quite unique and had me constantly adapting to understand and fully grasp what was going on.

i wish i liked this more than i did. a couple of friends loved it - and i was keen to read a novella. it was quite well written in an unexplained abstract kind of way - i couldn't help wondering what the point of it was...
A very odd story, post-apocalyptic, about a small town Watermelon Sugar (Bolinas) where a group of people live in a commune called iDeath. Hard and pointless to describe the plot or the setting much beyond that, and pretty hard to understand what it's supposed to mean, too. I found it pretty riveting and did the whole thing (it's short) in one sitting. First of his books I've ready in many many years, and I enjoyed it thoroughly.
