This was ok, I felt myself losing interest at some point. I liked the Terry Pratchett vibes

A childhood favorite of mine, that doesn’t hold quite as much whimsy as it used to. Still an incredibly engaging read, I love the layers of myth, history, and world building. It’s a truly artfully written book.

I really enjoyed this book, and I am so glad I read it! I love the humor and details in it. The characters were okay, but I loved that everything even the animals had their own personality and thought process. I felt like the story was very creative and I'd definitely recommend it to Harry Potter and Disc World fans.

I always know the identity of the unidentified, but as Rachel points out, it is listed as juvenile fiction.

Oh Magyk audiobook, what a place in my heart you have! Even those abominably slow chapters in the middle! Even with all those beautiful middle-grade plot holes! There is a little dragon-ring shaped bit of my soul dedicated to loving this story. If you don’t get it, I’m so sorry. Sometimes kitschy chosen-one found family magic stories need to be discovered early in life in order to be beloved for many years to come.
