Embracing The Dragon by K.L. Bone is book one in the Flames Of Kalleen Series that I listened to on audio narrated by Kylie Stewart.  This is the first book by K.L that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last one. She does an amazing job pulling you into the story. Kylie did an amazing job narrating. She uses different voices for the characters which made it easy to follow along. The book does end on a cliffhanger but book two Releasing The Dragon is already released. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves paranormal/shifters books.

This book was really good. I enjoyed K.L. Bone's writing style. The world building is fantastic and the character development is perfect.

Kaleen is the youngest daughter of the dragon queen. She has a somewhat easy going life. She has a boyfriend that devotes all his attention to her and she never has to worry about going hungry. When her sister takes the throne she banashes Kaleen. Kaleen has to come to terms with the fact that her sister is kind of evil and isn't good for the kingdom.

This book was intense and full of action and great characters!

If you can get the audiobook, I highly recommend it. The narrator did such a great job. She was very easy to listen to and follow along with even though I was doing a million other things while listening.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I guess it has just been a lucky month for me where books are concerned.

Just like the with last book I read and reviewed I finished this book in TWO DAYS.

Embracing the Dragon was an intriguing read that pulled me in and wouldn’t let go until I finished it. I have always been a sucker for anything involving dragons, so dragon sifters were a definite attention grabber. I found myself having to force myself to put my Kindle down so that I could get some work done or rest. I wanted to know what was happening and how it would all end so badly that I ended staying up until 3 in the morning to finish the rest of the book.

Amelia was an interesting character and I enjoyed getting to see a glimpse of the different parts of who she is. She has her weak moments but is strong when she needs to be. I look forward to watching her grow throughout the rest of the series. I am not entirely sure about how I feel about Conner just yet. He definitely cares for and supports Amelia but then there was that cliffhanger. Come on!!!! How could you do that to me? Now I need answers.

All in all, Embracing the Dragon was a great read and I will be keeping a lookout for book 2.
