The spy has been hiding in plain sight waiting to make his move. Plan A has been unsuccessful, so they move to plan B. Plan B begin to fall into place as their target enters her first year at the Kingmakers.

I really liked the concept of this book. I did figure out who the spy was before starting this book, BUT
I didn't figure out how complex this story would be. Our spy(s) has pulled off 3 years without anyone figuring out his secret. Ares, is not the actual Ares. He is none other than Rafe Petrov, Ivan's son. He and his mother have been hiding out at Kingmakers trying to track down Ivan who has been kidnapped by Nix's father.

I love how intertwined all of these books are and how the other characters are so present in each book. I feel like unlike the other books, the romance is not the main focus of the story. I liked that instead of the romance takeovering the storyline, we had more of a focus on the Mafia elements.  I also liked how the 3rd POV in this book was the spy's father. I would have also loved to get his mother's POV, I think that would have been interesting.

I have to say the low points of this book were
actually the spicy scenes. I found them very awkwardly worded and the whole breastfeeding scene (Ivan) was uncomfortable and off-putting.  These scenes actually brought the story and my rating down.

Tropes: secret identity, mafia, rival families
