This was SO good. It really was. The amount of thinking that must have gone while coming up with plot is just WOW. Like I'm seriously surprised. And this book just made my love for Sophie Lark grow ten times stronger. But I think I'm going to end this journey right here. The books in the series thus far have been really long and I'm kinda exhausted atp. Maybe I'll come back later in the future to read about Sabrina and Adrik's story who knows? But I'm not to keen on it rn. Other than that, The Spy was a very enjoyable read with the perfect amount of plot twists, smut and a solid storyline. I don't think I'll be re-reading the Kingmakers series tho...it's pretty taxing hahah
A very satisfying conclusion to the Kingmaker series. I am continuously impressed by these books. Combined with Brutal Birthright and what I’ve read of Underworld, each story still manages to feel unique. Every detail is so thought-out and well connected and it’s been a joy piecing all of the stories together to see how they all mesh.
I don’t know how to tell you how much I loved this book without spoiling it but I’m gonna try. Sophie had given easter eggs about The Spy’s identity throughout all the Kingmakers series and while it was one of my guesses, his real identity was a total shock. I started to suspect it in The Bully and I screamed so much when it was confirmed. The story was perfect, the characters were amazing and the way all previous characters took part of this book was incredible. The little epilogues with all four couples madr my heart melt, I can’t get enough of any of them. And that’s it, I’m not saying anything else. You need to read it and see for yourselves.
PS. Getting Adrik and Sabrina’s story is such a gift from Sophie!

Great ending to series
Always sad to read the last book in series. This was a great story to end with. I loved the short recaps of the other characters in the future.

O.M.G
The roller coaster if emotions this book had on me.
Started off slow at first but I knew it was because of the history but as I kept turning the pages and connecting the dots I couldn’t stop myself from finishing the book in one sitting.
I loved every second of it. The devotion, plotting, patience, and betrayal of love. Ugh!
The ending was chef kiss.

All of Sophie’s books continually get better and better, but I think this is my favorite. I loved all the story lines coming together!

I literally just cried at the end of this book. Not because it was sad necessarily but because I was so addicted to these characters. The way Sophie tied 3 series’ (spanning 2 generations) together to form one story is brilliant.
I knew instantly who was whom after the first chapter. I can’t stress enough how you really need to read the underworld series before the kingmakers. It made the experience more coherent and perfect since I fell in love with those characters first.
I am so damn glad she decided to write another book about Sabrina.. i loved her character. I can’t wait to read it next!
