6 stars Now I could not have been happier to be back at Kingmakers. This story was full of twists and turns and both the hero and the heroine (really not naming names because spoilers) gripped me from page one. The side characters, the threads all coming together was so incredibly intricate, I didn't ever want this to end. This will be a series I re-read for sure. Incredibly written, incredible relationships both romantic and friendly and just so beautiful and touching. Ms. Lark is a special kind of writer and I'm so glad I found her. I volunteered to read and review an early copy of this. All opinions are my own.

Okay, this book is tough to review without spoilers because the mystery and intrigue are huge, driven by the different POVs! I really don't want to give anything away. But seriously, seeing how much Sophie has built up in her other books and watching it all happen in this one was fantastic. This felt like a heavier book in terms of plot, mystery, action, revenge, and the character perspectives, maybe because of some other elements happening in the story. I definitely had moments where I was freaking out as things unfolded! The action sequences near the end completely grabbed my attention. If you've been following Sophie Lark's books for a while, this one is going to be so worth the read! And the long epilogue for all the couples? Just everything – especially knowing it was intended as the grand finale initially.

There was a slight introduction into the spy in the previous book, and not gonna lie, it was pretty easy to figure out who it was from the subtle hints throughout the series. But hey, regardless of that, I did in fact enjoy it. But with how the epilogues went I'm not so sure I wanna read the next one since I already know what kind of happens with Sabrina Gallo. But I might take a shot at it after I finish my other books.

My first 5 star rating of the year. I love the way this story was told. Brilliant!
