I loved it more than the first, found it more fast paced and with so many turns and surprises, I couldn’t stop. It made me smile, mad and sad. It was a really good read.

I thought that I couldn’t give this book 5 stars because things just kept going wrong and going wrong and the plan never worked, but honestly that’s what made the book! I loved the found family and friendship they all had. I loved the characters and the development of each of them, some big and some small steps in the right direction. I’m SO SAD that Matthias died- I really started to love him (& his relationship with Nina). Kaz's scheming and planning reminded me so much of Aelin from TOG. This duology surprised me with how much I enjoyed it because it's different from what I usually read, but it was so good!!
