3.5 stars? Fun premise, sweet story, well written, but very YA. I would have loved this when I was 11 or 12, but the romance element in it was just infuriating to me now

I am a true sucker for time loop novels and the premise for this YA M/M romance had me completely hooked!

When Clark finds himself repeating the same day over snd over again he starts to worry he’ll never escape the trap he’s in.

Enter, Beau, who’s also stuck in the same time loop and needs help from Clark to escape. This was perfect for fans of delicious treats, messy divorces and fated soulmates.

Great on audio narrated by Kurt Kanazawa (a new to me narrator) and recommended for fans of See you yesterday by Rachel Lynn Solomon.

This is one of my favorite tropes, and this one is particularly well-written and the side characters are really fleshed out!

There’s hardly any Beau in this, though, and the reasons why we barely see him and why Clark doesn’t figure anything out until the last minute are really flimsy. I feel like Clark barely knows Beau by the end of the book—the whole time Beau just wasn’t around, for no good reason except to cause Clark angst.

Also, minor thing, but this book treats the word “lonely” like the word “depressed” (as in, sentences like “As the time loop kept repeating I went into a dark place, and became more and more lonely”). My suspicion is that depression was deemed too dark a topic for this novel, and was therefore swapped out, so the way characters talk about loneliness is really bizarre.

"If I See You Again Tomorrow" by Robbie Couch is a delightfully unique and captivating story that seamlessly blends romance and science fiction. 🚀❤️ Clark, stuck reliving the same Monday for 309 days, finds his world turned upside down when the charming and enigmatic Beau appears on Day 310. 😲 As the two embark on a series of adventures across Chicago, their connection grows, but the looming question remains – how can they build a future together when tomorrow never comes? 🤔 Couch's writing is witty, heartfelt, and engaging, making it impossible not to root for Clark and Beau's love story. 📝 With a 5-star rating, this book is a must-read for anyone looking for a fresh take on the classic romance novel, with a sci-fi twist that will keep you hooked until the very last page! 🌟
